Clarence Arch all tiled fireplace
The Clarence Arch was one of the most widely produced of any fireplace insert in Britain throughout the 1920s.
We have adapted this style of fireplace to make a complete fireplace with an arch made of 4 inch bull-nose tiles.
The fireplace opening tiles were mass produced by many different tile makers around Stoke on Trent. Slab-shops made these fireplaces in large quantities for the suburban houses that were developing.
We slip cast these opening tiles ourselves in our Manchester factory. This gives our tiles an attractive hand-made look where the glaze intensity varies across the tile surface.
We can make this arched fireplace in many variants with a simple arch, a large keystone, a fan keystone design and with or without Arts and Crafts style "dots".
