A pale mahogany 1920s mantel

We make Fireplaces from 1920s Art Deco fireplaces and classic Edwardian fireplace and mantel designs.

This pale mahogany mantel probably dates from the early 1920s, and has elements of Arts and Crafts and Art Deco influence in its styling.
The shelf has a simple central bracket, and is finished on the front with an interlocking Gothic arch pattern moulding.
The frieze of the mantel curves elegantly to a more Art Deco inspired hand-carved fan design in the centre.
The legs of the mantel are formed by slightly curved simple pilers.
The mantel is a quality piece, made from wood that is hard to find today.
It would have been installed with a tiled backpanel originally.
