1920s mantel in mahogany and walnut

We make Fireplaces from 1920s Art Deco fireplaces and classic Edwardian fireplace and mantel designs.

This piece features book matched, burr walnut panels in the legs and central frieze section.
This mantel design (#10017) displays the fine design and craftsmanship which gained the firm its reputation. Under their trade name of Beithcraft, Balfours became the dominant mantelpiece manufacturers in Scotland for many years.
They were one of several cabinet makers centred on Beith and were often engaged in making pieces for the large ocean liners built on Clydeside such as the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary.
