1920's tiled fireplace insert

We make Fireplaces from 1920s Art Deco fireplaces and classic Edwardian fireplace and mantel designs.

An unusual fireplace insert in that it is made with 3 inch square and 6 inch by 3 inch brown mottled tiles rather than the commoner 4 inch ones.

The frieze section features a panel of alternating orange and brown mottled vertical stripes framed by strips of a black embossed tile. Beneath this the recess for the fire opening is bordered with ribbed blocks with 5 petal double rose tiles at the corners. The recess then angles back to the fire opening which is framed on three sides with curved opening blocks.

The original hearth had a raised cutout section at the fire opening to accomodate a Devon type fireback for woodburning. We can replicate this should it be required.
