Large post war tiled fireplace

We make Fireplaces from 1920s Art Deco fireplaces and classic Edwardian fireplace and mantel designs.

This large all-tiled fireplace dates from the late 1940s early 1950s and would have been the main feature of the living room in a house of that era.

Made from brown/cream mottled tiles with mottled green detail tiles.

The detail tiles around the edge have a decorative basket-weave feel to them giving the fireplace a highly ornate finish.

The opening tiles are in the same green as the basket-weave with an arch in the same colour as the background tile.

The hearth has a built in fender in the same mottled green as the detail on the main body of the fireplace.

The fireplace is in very good condition with a couple of cracks in tiles on the side.

This fireplace would be an excellent addition if you were renovating your 1930s to 1940s house.
