Solid Fuel Fires

We make Fireplaces from 1920s Art Deco fireplaces and classic Edwardian fireplace and mantel designs.

We offer an entire range of solid fuel burning options from glass fronted inset stoves to the Baxi Burnall Systems

All you need to make a working solid fuel fire.

The kits includes a grate and an ashpan.

Kits including a free-standing fret or fire-front are available if needed.

The frets and grates shown are recommended for the tiled fireplaces we make at our factory in Stockport (Greater Manchester).

Glass fronted inset stoves burn solid fuel more efficiently than an open fire (up to 80% efficiency).

Our fireplaces and inserts can be made to use them

Open fronted inset fires are twice as efficient as a normal open fire. You can still see the flames directly.

These inset fires are made in the UK by Stovax.

All night burners give you much more control of an open fire.

These combined fire-front and grates, made to fit with 16 and 18 inch Milner firebacks, are able to burn around the clock.

The Burnall system draws air for combustion from outside the house.

This cuts down draughts, allows more control and is more efficient than a conventional open fire.
